The Eyefi MobiPRO is a new gadget on the market – ideal for travellers who have a camera with a SD card slot and who want to easily and wirelessly upload photos from a camera to social media or the web.
The Eyefi MobiPRO SD card does just that. All you do is merely insert the card into your camera. Then ensure you download the Eyefi Mobi app on your smart phone and register the activation code given on the product.
Your photos will then be sent wirelessly from this nifty little wifi-enabled SD card directly to your smart phone. From there you can publish instantly to instagram or whatever social media platforms you’re using.
Just a note that you need to ensure a stable connection between your camera and the Eyefi card by going into your DSLR/camera settings and clicking on Eye-Fi settings (which should now automatically appear). Then you need to change the ‘disable’ to ‘enable’ card settings. After that, you’re good to go!
Once connected the only issue I had was that my iPhone kept throwing out the Eye-Fi wireless connection since it wanted to connect with my usual wifi settings at home. So I think it’s probably a very useful gadget when on the go and out and about with no major wifi networks interfering.
